ISRO Invites Industry for Bharatiya Antariksh Station Construction
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has issued an Expression of Interest for Indian industry to participate in the construction of the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS), specifically for two BAS-01 modules, to enhance self-reliance in space technology. Interested parties have until March 8, 2026, to submit their proposals, as the BAS-01 aims to support long-term human presence in space and facilitate advanced microgravity research. This initiative follows the successful SpaDeX mission, which demonstrated India's space docking capabilities, further advancing the nation's space ambitions and potentially boosting the domestic space economy to $44 billion by 2033.
