The S4WAT project, based at the University of Basilicata, is focused on innovative urban wastewater treatment solutions that reduce energy consumption and biological sludge production. Funded by the PRIN PNRR 2022 program, it integrates hybrid biofilm bioreactors into existing systems. The project culminates in a workshop showcasing its findings, which aim to optimize biological processes and explore nature-based solutions for enhanced wastewater management.
