Japan Develops Pocket-Sized Microreactor for Extended Drone and AI Operation

HYDROGENFUEL CELL

Researchers in Japan have created a pocket-sized microreactor powered by solid oxide fuel cells, capable of reaching 600 °C in five minutes. This innovative technology offers energy densities up to four times greater than lithium-ion batteries, enabling extended operation for drones and AI devices while incorporating safety features to quickly cool the reactor if insulation is compromised.
