Japan's JAXA has engaged ispace to conduct a study on lunar debris mitigation and disposal as part of the Artemis Accords initiative, aiming to develop operational strategies for managing debris and spacecraft disposal following missions. Leveraging its prior lunar mission experience, ispace will provide recommendations focused on the technical and operational feasibility of these practices, which will help inform JAXA's guidelines for sustainable cislunar operations. The study aims to address implementation challenges and standardization opportunities among international partners.
