Jim Richard, a notable figure in Northern Ontario's mining industry and innovator at Deltion Innovations Ltd, passed away on December 8, 2025. His work focused on developing space mining techniques, collaborating with organizations such as the Canadian Space Agency and NASA.

Originally from Elliot Lake, Ontario, Jim was known for his enthusiastic participation in family events and his adventurous spirit, which included activities like SCUBA diving and canoeing. He is survived by his daughters, Raven Richard-Bordeau and Erica Richard, as well as his sister and brother. In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held.
