Jivraj na Muvada Primary School Wins Green School Award 2025 for Eco-Friendly Initiatives

Jivraj na Muvada Primary School in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, has received the 'Green School Award 2025' for its environmental initiatives under the 'Green Your School Program' by the Indian Green Building Council. The school, which hosts over 1,200 trees, was awarded a national incentive grant of Rs 3 lakh for implementing 11 eco-friendly projects.

The award ceremony took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai in November 2025, involving various governmental and industry organizations. Among 720 participating schools, Jivraj na Muvada was among the top three, alongside schools from Arunachal Pradesh and Puducherry.

The school promotes a 'Free Plastic School, Free Plastic Village' initiative and has previously received the Climate Change Award. Innovative projects include a portable biogas plant, grey water system, and a butterfly garden, showcasing a successful blend of education and environmental conservation.
