Johor Begins Construction of RM310 Million Integrated Scheduled Waste Hub to Support Circular Economy

Johor is launching an Integrated Scheduled Waste Hub costing RM310 million, managed by KPRJ. Located near the Seelong landfill, construction began on December 15 and is set for completion by June 15 next year.
The 18.6-hectare facility will include a thermal treatment plant, chemical treatment plant, solidification plant, and a secure landfill. It aims to handle 76 types of scheduled waste and create 150 jobs, enhancing local living standards and promoting a circular economy.
