JSW Energy Limited has contracted Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Ltd for two 800 MW steam turbine generators for its 1,600 MW Salboni Thermal Project in West Bengal, aiming to enhance supply-chain certainty and ensure timely completion. With plans to increase its total thermal capacity from 5,658 MW to 9,058 MW, the company is targeting 30 GW of generation and 40 GWh of energy storage by FY 2030, with a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
