Kai Wörner has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Cellcentric, effective January 2026, where he will oversee the company's transition to industrial-scale manufacturing of fuel cell systems for heavy-duty applications. With extensive experience from roles at AESC, Volkswagen, and Bosch, Wörner will lead efforts at the joint venture between Daimler Truck and the Volvo Group, which is focused on developing fuel cells and constructing a factory in Weilheim, Germany, to support the decarbonization of heavy-duty transport.
