A meeting took place in New York between Askhat Khasenov, Chairman of KazMunayGas, and Lanzajet executives Jimmy Samartzis and Stefan Thion to discuss a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant in Kazakhstan. A framework agreement was signed, transitioning the project into the front-end engineering design phase, following a successful feasibility study. The demand for SAF in Kazakhstan is projected to reach 70,000 tons annually by 2030, contributing to low carbon development and enhancing the country's biofuel market.
