KfW IPEX-Bank is providing Nowega, a German long-distance pipeline operator, with €150 million in financing, complemented by €30 million from DekaBank. This funding will support Nowega's investment program in hydrogen and gas infrastructure, focusing on the modernization and expansion of hydrogen facilities and biogas development.

The initiative will involve converting existing gas pipelines, with initial conversions already completed. KfW IPEX-Bank previously loaned €40 million to Nowega in 2020 for similar purposes. The management board of KfW IPEX-Bank emphasized the importance of supporting energy infrastructure in Germany and Europe.
