KN Energies Selects Sweco Lietuva for CO2 Terminal Environmental Impact Assessment in Klaipėda

CARBON CAPTURE

KN Energies has appointed Sweco Lietuva to conduct an environmental impact assessment for a CO2 terminal in Klaipėda, with a contract valued at €234,560. This terminal aims to support the EU's climate neutrality goal by 2050 through carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies, part of the CCS Baltic Consortium project initiated in 2022. The project, co-financed by the EU, is expected to be operational by 2030, with completion of the assessment services within two years.
