KoBold Exploration DRC SA has submitted five new mining research permit applications to the Cadastre minier of the Democratic Republic of Congo, following the reopening of the application window on February 3. These applications are part of an agreement signed on July 18, 2025, with the Congolese government.

The permits cover areas in Malemba-Nkulu and Manono. The exploration will employ artificial intelligence to identify viable mineral resources, targeting at least ten critical minerals, including lithium and rare earth elements.
