Kochi Mayor V K Minimol's Visit Sparks Waste Management Controversy
BIOFUELS
Kochi Mayor V K Minimol's recent visit to Brahmapuram has ignited a debate over waste management, with former mayor M Anilkumar accusing the current council of misrepresenting data. While Minimol reported that only 100 out of 240 tonnes of daily waste are processed at the black soldier fly plant, Anilkumar defended the adequacy of existing facilities, including two BSF plants and a compressed biogas plant, claiming that 99% of waste has been cleared through biomining.
