Kochi's Brahmapuram Biogas Plant to Produce 6 Metric Tonnes of CBG and 128 Tonnes of Organic Manure

The Kochi Corporation's compressed biogas (CBG) plant at Brahmapuram, inaugurated on February 27 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, will treat 150 tonnes of solid waste, generating 6 metric tonnes of CBG and 128 tonnes of organic manure for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The project, funded by BPCL at an investment of ₹90 crore, includes two biodigesters and aims to address waste management within Kochi Corporation limits.
