KRG Specialist Engineering has welcomed Ashton Hughes as a third-generation apprentice, continuing the family legacy of the Coatbridge-based firm founded in 1978 by his grandfather, James Hughes. The company, which supplies high-tolerance components to various sectors, was recently acquired by Japanese company Torishima, positioning it for expansion into high-growth areas like renewables and hydrogen while maintaining its operations in Scotland.
