Liebherr Cranes Used Exclusively for New Metal Processing Plant in Hamburg

CIRCULAR ECONOMY & RECYCLING

A new metal processing plant is being built in Hamburg, Germany, utilizing a fleet of Liebherr cranes for construction. Züblin has rented several models from BMTI, including the Liebherr 1188 EC-H, 550 EC-H, and 470 EC-B, along with an additional Liebherr 250 EC-B from BMTI's inventory.

The cranes enable precise lifting and positioning of heavy structures, with the 1188 EC-H Fibre capable of lifting up to 40 tons. The plant, operated by Aurubis, will process around 30,000 tons of material annually starting in 2026.
