Lotte Chemical is enhancing its focus on high-value specialty materials with the launch of a new plant in Yulchon, South Korea, which will become the country's largest single compound production base by next year, boasting an annual capacity of 500,000 tons. The facility will cater to the mobility and IT sectors, while Lotte Energy Materials is advancing in battery technologies and hydrogen fuel-cell power generation. Additionally, the company is scaling back its naphtha cracking operations and expanding semiconductor production at Hantok Chemicals.
