The Lucknow Municipal Corporation is set to take action against JBM Enviro Bio-Energy for delays in the operation of a biogas plant in Amausi, originally scheduled to launch in November 2025. Despite the completion of preparatory work and a notice issued in December 2025, the facility remains non-operational, hindering the processing of organic waste into biogas and fertiliser. The project, which has a 20-year land lease, is expected to generate approximately ₹1.5 crore annually for the corporation.
