Luxembourg Highlights Role in Horizon Europe Research Initiative at Horizon Day 2025

Luxembourg hosted Horizon Day on 11 December, focusing on the country's role in the Horizon Europe initiative, which runs from 2021 to 2027 with a budget of €93.5 billion. The event featured discussions on collaboration among researchers, organizations, and businesses.

Philippe Mayer, Deputy CEO of LuxInnovation, emphasized the importance of cross-border partnerships. The event showcased success stories, including Echo-Wave's green hydrogen project, which aims to establish a hydrogen market in the region.

OQ Technology presented its satellite connectivity solution, becoming the first European company to send emergency broadcast SMS during a satellite pass. Anne Calteux from the EU Commission highlighted future plans to simplify processes and enhance support for SMEs and start-ups, calling for ambitious projects to drive innovation.
