Marca Ambiental has launched a biogas plant at the Cariacica landfill in Espírito Santo, set to produce up to 30,000 m³ of biometano daily, making it the first in the state and the second in Brazil connected to the gas distribution network. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with local and federal sustainability goals, and incorporates advanced management technology. Plans are in place to replicate this model in six additional units across Brazil.
