The Port of Marseille Fos and H4 Marseille Fos have secured land for a low-carbon hydrogen and synthetic fuels project in Fos-sur-Mer. The €1.5bn investment is expected to create 165 jobs and includes three hydrogen production units with a total capacity of 300MW, producing 42,000 tonnes of hydrogen each annually. The project aims for industrial commissioning by the end of 2030, potentially avoiding 240,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
