Mast Reforestation Completes Innovative Biomass Carbon Removal Project in Montana
CARBON CAPTURE
Mast Reforestation has successfully completed its MT1 project in Montana, which involved burying 10 million pounds of fire-damaged trees to prevent CO2 emissions. The project is expected to generate 5,000 tonnes of carbon removal credits by early 2026, with proceeds funding local reforestation efforts.
Continuous monitoring indicates effective carbon storage with no emissions detected. Mast aims to expand its initiatives to address the 2.8 million tons of additional fire-killed trees in the region, promoting ecological recovery and local livelihoods.
