Mercedes-Benz Signs $1.4B Battery Supply Deal with LG Energy; Siemens and nVent Partner on Nvidia Data Centers

ENERGY STORAGEDATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Mercedes-Benz has entered into a $1.4 billion agreement with LG Energy Solution for electric vehicle batteries, effective from March 2028 to June 2035. This follows two prior deals with LGES totaling 50.5 GWh and $11 billion for next-generation batteries.

Meanwhile, Siemens and nVent are collaborating to create cooling and power systems for Nvidia's AI data centers, integrating liquid cooling and electrical automation technologies. Allye Energy has launched the Max500 energy storage system, providing 500 kWh units for construction EVs, and Stellantis has patented a foam-based thermal runaway suppression system for EV batteries. Additionally, Envelio has introduced a Grid Connection Navigator to facilitate the interconnection process for renewable energy and EV charging.
