The Whole System Research and Innovation for Decarbonisation (WSRID) programme in Mid Wales enters Phase 2, focusing on testing and refining solutions in real-world settings. Funded by the Welsh Government, four projects will develop prototypes and conduct live demonstrations targeting agriculture and forestry emissions.

Key projects include a digital tool for dairy farmers, a mobile slurry dewatering process for energy generation, community energy management systems, and exploring green hydrogen for timber transport. The aim is to validate economic and societal benefits while reducing risks.
