Montenegro has adopted a green hydrogen development program with an action plan for 2026-2028, aiming to integrate hydrogen into its energy system. The program focuses on regulatory framework establishment, educational initiatives, and pilot projects, with a long-term vision for hydrogen applications in transportation and energy storage. The initiative, supported by GIZ, emphasizes regional cooperation and participation in international hydrogen initiatives, including the Adriatic-Ionian Pipeline project, to enhance energy security and promote the hydrogen economy.
