Morocco is set to strengthen its energy position by investing in new LNG infrastructure and ports, aiming to become a key energy hub between Africa and Europe by 2030. The Nador West Med port will serve as the nation's first LNG terminal by 2026, while a $1 billion deep-water port in Dakhla is expected to be completed by 2028, facilitating transit for the Sahel region and supporting green hydrogen export. Additionally, a $25 billion gas pipeline connecting Nigeria to Morocco will enhance regional energy supply, linking thirteen West African countries to the Moroccan network.
