MSEDCL Approves 700 MW Solar Power Procurement from SECI at ₹2.63/kWh Tariff

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) has approved the procurement of 700 MW of solar power from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a tariff of ₹2.63/kWh, including a trading margin.
This agreement, part of MSEDCL's Renewable Purchase Obligation compliance, will help meet future RPO targets projected to reach 43.33% by FY 2029-30. The procurement follows a competitive bidding process and involves energy sourced from JSW Neo Energy Ltd.
