Nama Power has signed power purchase agreements totaling OMR 1 billion ($2.6 billion) with two consortia to develop combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) projects in Misfah and Duqm, Oman. The projects, aimed at enhancing fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, will utilize advanced CCGT technology and align with Oman Vision 2040 and the Net-Zero Target 2050, with construction expected to begin soon and commercial operations slated for April 2028.
