NASA Prepares for Artemis II Rollout of SLS Rocket and Orion Spacecraft

NASA is preparing to roll out its Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft for the Artemis II mission, scheduled for January 17, 2026. This mission will feature a 10-day crewed flight around the Moon, carrying four astronauts, including the first woman and first African American on a NASA lunar mission, and aims to establish a sustained human presence on the Moon as a precursor to Mars exploration. The launch window is set between February 5 and April 2026.
