The Dutch government plans to hold a 1GW offshore wind tender in 2026 for the IJmuiden Ver Gamma-A site, reducing its earlier proposal to auction two sites. This project will be supported by the SDE++ subsidy scheme, offering a maximum support level of €104/MWh, in response to challenges faced in previous auctions. The tender is set to open in September 2026, following public consultation and European Commission approval.
