NITI Aayog Plans Andhra Pradesh as Top Renewable Energy Hub by 2035

NITI Aayog has outlined a blueprint for Andhra Pradesh to become one of India's top three renewable energy hubs by 2035, focusing on affordable and clean power. The plan includes developing 35 GW of solar, 12 GW of wind, and significant energy storage capacity.
Proposed investments of Rs 3.3-3.4 lakh crore for energy transition and Rs 4-4.2 lakh crore for national power exports aim to create 5-6 lakh jobs. Infrastructure upgrades in transmission and distribution sectors are also included, with the blueprint expected to be finalized by March 2026.
