Northern Graphite Corporation has partnered with Rain Carbon Germany GmbH, H.C. Starck Tungsten GmbH, and Friedrich Schiller University Jena to launch the USE-G project, a three-year initiative aimed at developing sustainable graphite processing technologies for Europe's battery industry.

Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the project will focus on cleaner extraction methods, reduce reliance on Chinese supply chains, and explore innovative purification techniques using chlorine gas. Initial efforts will target the separation of natural and recycled graphite, with future plans to assess their blending for anode materials.
