Northern Graphite plans to restart the Okanjande mine in Namibia by the end of 2025 to support a $200 million anode materials factory in Saudi Arabia, developed in partnership with Al Obeikan. The mine, which has been inactive since 2018, will produce 50,000 tons of graphite concentrate annually, with an investment of $35 million to enhance infrastructure and create 200 to 300 local jobs. The factory in Yanbu will cater to markets in Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East, leveraging better local infrastructure for electricity and water.
