NTPC Limited is actively scouting sites in Andhra Pradesh for nuclear power plants as part of its ambitious plan to achieve 30 GW of nuclear capacity by 2047. In collaboration with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited, NTPC is also working on a 4X700 MW nuclear plant in Rajasthan, while considering additional locations in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Bihar. The Indian government aims for a total of 100 GW of nuclear power by 2047, alongside NTPC's efforts to expand its renewable energy initiatives.
