OMV has secured €123 million in funding from Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH for the construction of a 140 MW green hydrogen plant in Bruck an der Leitha, expected to produce 23,000 tons of hydrogen annually by late 2027. The project aims to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 150,000 tons per year and will utilize renewable energy sources, with a joint venture agreement with Masdar for its financing and operation. Completion is anticipated in early 2026, pending final approvals.
