Farmers in eastern Ontario are adopting enhanced rock weathering projects to enhance soil health and sequester CO₂, with Canadian Wollastonite providing wollastonite at no cost. A recent XPRIZE competition highlighted the method's effectiveness, demonstrating the removal of 1,209 tonnes of CO₂ across 102 farms. This initiative not only boosts crop yields and local economies but also aligns with the 64% of Canadians who support carbon removal efforts, emphasizing community benefits and transparent project design.
