Ontario Invests $2.07 Million in Rainy River Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades
WATER INFRASTRUCTURE & DESALINATIONFLOW CONTROL
The Rainy River wastewater treatment plant in Ontario will receive $2,074,000 for necessary upgrades, supported by the Health and Safety Water Stream. This funding prevents the town from incurring significant debt while allowing for the replacement of outdated equipment and improvements in energy efficiency.
The investment is part of Ontario's $4 billion Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program, which aids 127 municipalities and First Nations. Key upgrades include a new generator, modernized control panels, and enhanced filtration systems.
