OPTCL Proposes Rs 3,679 Crore CAPEX Plan for Transmission Infrastructure in Odisha

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has proposed a Rs 3,678.86 crore capital expenditure plan to enhance the state's power transmission infrastructure. The initiative includes the establishment of new grid substations, construction of high-capacity transmission lines, and upgrades to existing facilities to meet rising power demand, particularly in industrial clusters and urban areas. A significant component is a new 400/220/33 kV GIS grid substation at Tata SEZ in Gopalpur, aimed at supporting the growth of green hydrogen and ammonia industries.
