Oregon Allocates $12 Million to 24 Community Renewable Energy Projects

Oregon has awarded $12 million to 24 projects aimed at enhancing community renewable energy resilience. The funding supports various initiatives, including solar installations and energy storage systems across libraries, schools, housing authorities, and tribal communities.
Notable projects include a 71-kW solar system for the Silver Falls Library District and a 4-MW solar generation project for the Umpqua Indian Utility Cooperative. The grants also cover planning for future microgrid systems and renewable energy resilience projects.
