ENERGY STORAGEDATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
Origin Energy, led by CEO Frank Calabria, is focusing on supplying energy to data centers, anticipating growth in power demand. The company is considering partnerships for data centers near its existing energy infrastructure, including the Eraring coal-fired power plant in New South Wales, which is set to close in 2029.
The global data center market could reach $4 trillion by 2030, with Australia ranked second for investment after the U.S. Origin is also investing in renewable energy and energy storage solutions to support this transition.
