ENERGY STORAGESOLAR ENERGY

Pacifico Energy K.K. has commenced commercial operations of a grid-scale battery storage facility in the Tokyo Area. This facility is developed under a fully self-funded, full merchant model, without government subsidies.

The company aims to achieve 660MW/2.9GWh of installations by 2030, building on its experience in battery energy storage systems. The facility will participate in Japan's wholesale electricity and balancing markets, contributing to grid stability and power price volatility mitigation.

This marks Pacifico Energy's entry into the Tokyo power market, its third regional market after Hokkaido and Kyushu. The company plans to continue developing standalone and co-located battery storage projects integrated with solar power across Japan. The Pacifico Energy Koganai ESS Project has an output of approximately 2 MW and commenced construction in May 2025, with operations starting on December 9, 2025.
