The Patna Municipal Corporation has launched a ₹1,000 crore bio-mining project at Ramchak Bairiya to establish an Integrated Solid Waste Management facility, part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The initiative aims to process over 800,000 metric tonnes of legacy waste, reclaiming 62 acres of land by June, and will convert waste into compost, compressed biogas, and generate 15 MW of electricity. An online tender for private sector participation has been issued, with funding split between the central government and private investors.
