Patrol Trading is collaborating with VTT to develop a high-performance ski wax made from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. The partnership arose from existing research relationships between Patrol Trading and university partners already working with VTT, which had produced a Fischer-Tropsch-based wax for testing.

Early samples demonstrated strong performance in wet conditions, with excellent water repellence and sliding friction. Patrol Trading aims to integrate sustainable, low-carbon materials into its products, prioritizing performance for competitive sports while addressing growing consumer demand for sustainability.
