PCMC's Moshi Waste-to-Energy Plant Converts 1,000 Tonnes of Waste Daily into 14 MW Power
BIOFUELS
The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's Moshi waste-to-energy plant processes 1,000 tonnes of solid waste daily to generate 14 megawatts of electricity, reducing reliance on landfills. The facility employs a controlled thermal process for non-recyclable dry waste and features automated systems for efficient operations and environmental compliance. PCMC plans to expand with a second plant capable of processing 1,000 tonnes per day and generating 27 MW, alongside facilities for biogas and biochar production.
