Perdue Farms' broiler processing facility in Lewiston, North Carolina, has been awarded the 2025 Clean Water Award for its environmental stewardship by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. The facility, which processes 347,000 birds daily, has achieved a 22% reduction in water usage per bird and is ahead of its energy reduction goals, while its wastewater treatment improvements and partnerships have significantly enhanced its sustainability efforts.
