In West Java, I Made Budi Kesuma, General Manager of PLTP Kamojang, announced plans to develop new methods for hydrogen production utilizing existing low-pressure geothermal wells. Pertamina, through PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy, is currently piloting a green hydrogen project in Ulubelu, Lampung.

Budi emphasized the importance of regulatory clarity before expanding hydrogen initiatives at Kamojang. The success of the Ulubelu pilot will guide future developments, as the company seeks to innovate beyond electricity and enhance low-carbon solutions for transportation and industry.
