Pertamina Launches Groundbreaking Green Hydrogen Pilot Plant in Lampung

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy has commenced the construction of the world's first green hydrogen pilot plant in Ulubelu, Lampung, with an investment of approximately $3 million. The facility will utilize geothermal energy and anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolyzer technology, aiming to operate by 2026. This initiative aligns with Indonesia's energy transition goals, promoting low-emission hydrogen as a sustainable energy source while supporting the country's net-zero emissions targets.
