Planning Application Submitted for Two Wind Turbines at Sullom Voe Terminal

HYDROGENSYNTHETIC FUELSAMMONIACARBON CAPTURE

A planning application has been submitted for two wind turbines at Sullom Voe Terminal, each standing 149.9 meters tall and generating 4.8 MW. This initiative is part of the terminal's transition from a gas-fired power station to renewable energy, with construction anticipated to take 12 to 18 months. EnQuest, the terminal operator, is also exploring additional renewable projects, including e-fuel production and carbon capture, while the Neshion Energy Park project proposes eight more turbines nearby.
