Hydrogen Transition Energy has announced plans for the UK's first waste-to-hydrogen plant in Kent, with an estimated cost of £120 million, set to open in 2028. The facility will convert household and commercial waste into clean hydrogen, creating over 100 jobs and supporting the UK's net zero goals. A consultation is scheduled for January 24, ahead of a planning application submission to Kent County Council.
